Welcome to SpotMe ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. SpotMe is designed from the ground up to be an "offline-first" and decentralized application, meaning that the vast majority of your data never leaves your device.

2. Information We Collect

Because SpotMe operates primarily via peer-to-peer (P2P) connections (Bluetooth Mesh and WiFi Direct), we do not collect, store, or process your messages on centralized servers.

• Local Storage: Your chat history, stories, and media are stored entirely in a local SQLite database on your physical device.
• Relay Data: If you use our Internet Relay fallback, messages may pass through our servers temporarily to reach offline peers. These are stored ephemerally and are not permanently archived.
• Profile Data: Your display name, username, and avatar may be visible to nearby peers for discovery purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

We do not sell your data. Any data passing through our relay servers is strictly used to facilitate message delivery between you and your intended recipients.

4. Third-Party Services

We do not integrate with third-party tracking or advertising SDKs. Your communication is yours alone.
